At Good Human Music Movement, we’re all about turning the traditional music lesson upside down! We mix creativity, hands-on learning, and a dash of fun to help young musicians explore their musical talents in ways that are anything but ordinary. Our goal? To spark a lifelong love for music, all while providing a supportive space where students feel free to express themselves, take risks, and have a blast along the way!

Program Objectives:

To provide students with the opportunity to develop their musical skills.

To introduce students to different music genres and performance techniques.

Curriculum

Our Music Program offers two unique, hands-on experiences: Drum Lab and Band Ensemble. Whether students are passionate about learning rhythm, or just enjoy listening to music, our curriculum is designed to cater to students of all skill levels, allowing them to develop both individually and as part of a group.

Key Learning Outcomes

Learn basic to intermediate drumming techniques (stick control, rudiments, hand-foot coordination)
Learn how to read and write rhythms and drum notation
Explore different percussion styles (rock, funk, jazz, Latin, and more)
Develop extraordinary listening skills that enables students to jam along with any rhythm that comes their way.
Students will build confidence through every beat played

In the Band Ensemble, we turn the stage into students playground! Students will join forces to create a band like no other, jamming out, syncing up over their favorites songs, and have a blast while mastering the art of playing together. This class is all about teamwork, communication, and the pure joy of making music with others. But here’s the kicker, students also get to learn from the pros! Famous touring musicians will drop in for epic guest performances, giving students a front-row seat to their tricks and trade. From improvising to blending sounds and diving into different music styles, this is where the magic happens, and musical ideas are brought to life.

Drum Lab

Drum Lab, is where students dive headfirst into the world of rhythm! This is not your typical drumming class – it's an adventure in creativity, coordination, and musical expression. From mastering basic beats to exploring complex rhythms across all kinds of percussion instruments, we make learning fun and hands-on. Whether students are banging on a snare or shaking a tambourine, we ensure that they build the skills needed to rock the drums like a pro, all while having a blast and unleashing their inner rhythm master!

Band Ensemble

Key Learning Outcomes

Collaborate with other musicians in a fun, supportive band setting
Learn to play popular and classic songs across various genres (rock, pop, jazz, etc.)
Develop ensemble skills, such as timing, balance, and listening
Focus on the dynamics of group performance and live-stage presence
